MCHOSE Mix 87 Hall Effect Magnetic Switch Gaming Keyboard

The MCHOSE Mix 87 is a high-performance Magnetic (Hall Effect) gaming keyboard. It is essentially the “big brother” to the popular Ace 60/68, offering the same cheat-code-level speed but in a larger TKL (Tenkeyless) layout with a dedicated volume knob.

1. Performance

• Rapid Trigger: This is the key reason to buy this board. The keys reset instantly when you lift your finger (even by 0.01mm). You don’t have to wait for the switch to bounce back up. This allows for instant counter-strafing in games like Valorant and CS2.

• 8K Polling Rate: It communicates with your computer 8,000 times per second (most keyboards are 1,000Hz). This creates near-zero latency (0.08ms) for competitive play.

• SOCD (Snap Tap): It supports the “Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Direction” feature. If you press ‘A’ and ‘D’ at the same time, it prioritizes the last input, giving you perfect movement without stopping.

2. Switches & “Feel”

• Magnetic Switches: It uses Apollo or Lightning magnetic switches (depending on the version). These are linear (smooth, no click) and contactless, meaning they are incredibly durable (100 million presses).

• Adjustable Actuation: You can customize the sensitivity of every single key.

  • 0.1mm: For WASD (instant movement).

  • 2.0mm: For your Ultimate/Grenade keys (to prevent accidental misclicks).

• Typing Sound: Unlike many “gaming” keyboards that sound rattly, the Mix 87 uses a Gasket Mount design with 5 layers of sound-dampening foam. It sounds remarkably “thocky” and solid for a plastic board.

3. Design & Build

• TKL Layout: It has 87 keys, meaning it keeps the Arrow Keys and the F-Row (F1-F12), which are missing on 60% keyboards. This makes it much better for daily use and work.

• Volume Knob: A dedicated metal knob on the top right allows you to adjust volume instantly without minimizing your game.

• RGB & Keycaps: It features South-Facing RGB (usually) or North-facing depending on batch, often paired with Side-Engraved PBT Keycaps. The letters are on the front of the keys, giving it a stealthy “ninja” look from the top.

• Case Material: Note that unlike the “GX87” (which is heavy aluminum), the Mix 87 typically uses a high-quality Plastic case to save weight and cost, though it uses a metal positioning plate for stability.

4. Software

• Web Driver (M HUB): You do not need to install software on your PC. You can change Rapid Trigger settings, lighting, and macros directly in a web browser. This is excellent for tournament players or those who hate bloatware.
